Anne Phung Nguyen
Anne Phung Nguyen, a Vietnamese American businesswoman, lives in Orange County California. I have a wonderful fiance named JP as well as hapless dad Henry. The majority of people know me through my Instagram @annephung. I document my life - highs and lows, as well as everything inbetween. When I was in 1990, I moved to America along with my family, including my brothers and parents at the age of one and half. If it wasn't for my parents' passion for dedication and hard work it is likely that I would not be with you sharing my story. As I knew I could achieve a better future I set out to be successful and do my parents proud. I had a plan for my life: university and get a corporate job, get married, buy a house and have kids. I believed that this was the definition of success. However, however, life has other plans to teach me what it meant to be successful. In 2013, I found I disliked my corporate position. Although the salary and status were good, I didn't feel like it fulfilled me. Instead I felt that I was simply doing nothing but wasting time. While navigating my way through a different direction in my career, I found that I was supposed to work as an instructor. I was a fan of working out, I liked being around people and I enjoy helping others. In this year, I am celebrating my 7th anniversary. In 2014, I launched my own company. It is rare to find Asian women in the industry. My goal is to be a change maker within the field to offer high-quality coaching that allows individuals to be healthier and happier them by creating an environment that is sustainable and meets their personal needs and goals. In addition, I strive in empowering others to achieve their dreams and goals so that they can achieve what they wish to do. My career was beginning to take off, I had one of the greatest losses in my life - my mom's loss of life. To be in Heaven she rests now after an 8-year battle against the disease known as Scleroderma. However, I carry the memory of her daily. The lessons we learn from life are often hidden from us, but they can be highly useful. My mother's sudden death that changed me forever. And I really believe I was given a second chance to live my living a full and fulfilling life. On Tet/Lunar New Year Day, she passed away. Now it was time for her to transition into her new chapter, and my chance to live one that was meaningful and enjoyable. As I approach my 30s I feel a sense of being alive and in the moment. I'm not feeling as if I'm just a mere existence anymore. The purpose of the story I am sharing is to inform you that, you are not alone. I hope that you feel that love is real and that a therapy session can be normal. Health is the most important asset you have. Because death is all that we can have, I hope you enjoy living your life to the fullest and leave with no regrets.
