Abbie and Betty

Abbie Cornish (born 7 August 1982) is an Australian actress. Cornish is most well-known for her performances in films including Heidi, Fanny Brawne and Sweet Pea (in Sucker Punch), Lindy and RoboCop (2011) and Sarah as well as Geostorm (2017). The latter movie Cornish received the first Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the cast. Betty Gilpin.........................American actress Betty Gilpin was fortunate to have both of her parents be professional actors. Jack Gilpin, star of Adventureland 2009 and many other movies was her father. Ann McDonough was her mother. Her love and the support from her parents helped make the choice to take up acting an easy one for young Betty Gilpin. Fordham College was her first choice once it came time for her to start college. She was there to learn how to perfect her craft. Gilpin continued to audition for TV and film roles and also appeared in Off Broadway shows. After a brief guest appearance on NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent the actress was offered small parts for the films Ghost Town (2009) and The Northern Kingdom (2008). Gilpin kept securing TV guest appearances throughout the next few years until she got her first break in 2013 with her recurring part in Nurse Jackie. In the role of she played Dr. Carrie Roman Gilpin appeared on 34 episodes in the show until Nurse Jackie was cancelled in June 2015. Gilpin also appeared in the mystery thriller True Story (2015).
