Arike Ogunbowale is a professional basketball player in the Dallas Wings, a team within the Women's National Basketball Association. Arike Ogunbowale was a college basketball player as a member of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before being drafted to the Wings as a fifth overall pick in the 2019 WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale, born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2, 1997 to Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale. She has two brothers Mario (26 year old) and Dare Ogunbowale (20 years old). The high schooler has made 7 appearances in the league and had 1,477 rebounds and 1,477 rebounds during her professional career. Ogunbowale won gold medals at the 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships as well as the 2014 FIBA U17 world Championships and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships. She was named to the 7th July roster of 2014 and was selected to the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale is also part of the ACC All-Freshman Team, after her first season in a college. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for a number of large shots in the NCCA Tournament.
